Sam's Jewelers Free Resizing & Engraving Policy

At Sam’s Jewelers, we are committed to ensuring that every piece of jewelry you purchase fits perfectly and reflects your personal story. We understand that finding the right fit or adding a custom touch is essential to enjoying your investment for years to come. This policy outlines our complimentary services for ring resizing and custom engraving.

All rings purchased directly from Sam’s Jewelers within the United States are eligible for one (1) free resizing within the first year of purchase.

Eligibility & Scope

• Timeframe: You have one (1) full year from the date your purchase is available for shipment or pickup to request a free resizing.
• Coverage: We will adjust your ring size within the manufacturer’s recommended range to ensure the structural integrity of the piece is maintained.
• Included Shipping: This service includes round-trip shipping. We provide a prepaid FedEx shipping label to ensure your ring is tracked and insured during transit.

Important Exclusions & Limitations

Some designs and materials cannot be resized due to their unique construction:

• Eternity Bands: Because diamonds or gemstones set fully around the band (Eternity style) cannot be resized without breaking the pattern, these rings are ineligible for resizing. However, they may be exchanged at no charge within thirty (30) days of purchase.
• Alternative Metals: Rings crafted from metals such as Tantalum or Titanium cannot be resized. Like eternity bands, these may be exchanged within thirty (30) days.
• Custom or Engraved Rings: While these may be eligible for resizing within the one-year window, they may incur a small fee to restore the engraving or custom finish.
• Post-Warranty Resizing: Requests made after the one-year period are subject to a service fee unless covered by an active Extended Protection Plan.

Engraving Terms

• Complimentary Offer: We offer free engraving (up to 3–4 words) on all Sam’s Jewelers branded rings.
• High-Value Orders: Free engraving is automatically included for all orders valued at $1,000 or more.
• Applicability: This service applies to non-offer (full-price) products. If you are purchasing an item on sale, please contact us to see if it qualifies for the engraving benefit.
• Final Sale Notice: Please note that once a ring has been engraved, it may be subject to different return or exchange conditions. We recommend verifying your size before requesting a permanent engraving.

To begin a resizing or engraving request, please follow these steps:

• Contact Our Team: Use the Website Virtual Assistant (the chat icon in the lower right corner) or call us at 317-537-2400.
• Authorization: Once approved, you will receive a Return Authorization Number and a prepaid FedEx shipping label via email.
• Secure Packaging: Please use our "double-box" method. Place the ring in its original box, and then place that box inside a FedEx Priority box for maximum security.
• Processing Time: Upon receipt, our master jewelers will complete the work within 7–14 business days. Your jewelry will then be returned to you via insured, prepaid shipping.

For customers residing outside the United States, resized or engraved items must be shipped back to the same country as the original purchase to comply with international customs and shipping regulations.

Limitation of Liability

While we exercise the utmost care, resizing and engraving involve minor structural alterations. Sam’s Jewelers is not responsible for damage arising from pre-existing conditions or excessive wear. Liability is limited exclusively to the service performed.
